Sharon Moise was born in the Caribbean island of St. Lucia in 1981. She received her Associate Degree in Visual Arts from the Barbados Community College (BCC) in 2010 where she went on to do her BFA, to be completed in 2013. Moise has exhibited in St. Lucia’s National Arts Festival and with the Barbados Art Council with which she holds membership. In 2012, her work was featured on BCC’s website and St. Lucia’s television station HTS to showcase illustrations of deep sea plant and animal organisms on the scientific vessel Atlantis. Generally, her work consists of rooster wire sculptures and paper cut-out roosters, animated via the process of stop-motion animation. Moise’s work is based on political satire.
